The wealthy detective writer Andrew Wyke (Lawrence Oliver Laurence Olivier) invites Milo Tindle (Michael Kane Michael Caine) to his magnificent home. At first they talked to each other very much, but when Andrew pointed out that he knew that Milo was having an affair with Andrew's wife, the atmosphere began to get weird and full of contradictions. Milo also calmly told Andrew that he knew about Andrew's affair with a prostitute and that Andrew's wife was about to divorce him. The two men were at loggerheads with each other and refused to give way to each other. Andrew offered to play a game with Milo, and Milo agreed. The direction of the story is becoming more and more unexpected.
