The film is based on real events. On January 15, 2009, Sally (Tom Hanks) was captain of US Airways Flight 1549. The plane was attacked by birds two minutes after take-off, and both engines were stalled. Sally decided to make a forced landing on the Hudson River, leaving all 155 people alive. But subsequent investigations revealed that he made the wrong choice and believed that he could choose to return to LaGuardia Airport. What happened inside the plane?
