Directed by Valentine Davis, this film is about the 1920s and 1930s. Ben Nicholman (Steve Allen) brings jazz to the United States, but its civilian style is ostracized by high society. The focus of the film is to describe that jazz music originated in the streets of Orleans, New York, in the style of selling and singing. Banderman combines jazz with orthodox classical music to form an alternative kind of jazz dance music that can enter the room. to form a unique American culture.
