Taiji, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan, is a small fishing village with beautiful scenery, but there is an inhumane scene here all the year round. Every year, tens of thousands of dolphins pass through this area, but their journey comes to an abrupt end in Taiji. The fishermen drove the dolphins to a place close to the shore, dolphin trainers from all over the world picked the right targets, and the rest of the dolphins were killed by the fishermen for no reason. These massacres, these crimes, are concealed by the government and relevant organizations because of various interests. Richard Berry (Richard O'Barry) used to be a dolphin trainer when he was young, and his participation in the film "the Dolphin Story" is very popular. However, the death of a dolphin shocked Richard's heart. From then on, he devoted himself to saving the dolphins. Despite the obstruction of the local government and villagers, he and his photography team tried to sneak into the dolphin slaughterhouse in Taiji in order to make the crime public and save the lovely friends of mankind. This film won the best documentary feature award at the 82nd Academy Awards in 2010.
