On the eve of the French student movement in 1968, twin brothers Isabella (Eva Green) and Leo (Louis Carell) became good friends with Matthew (Michael Pitt), a foreign student from the United States, because of the movie. When the brother and sister brought Matthew home as a guest, Matthew was liked by their parents, who were both college professors, and moved in. Slowly, he fell in love with Isabella. After the start of the student movement, the university was suspended, and three young people played games about film directors and lines in their room because they had nothing to do. During the game, Isabella knew that Matthew was interested in her and joined Leo to ask Matthew to have sex with her. Since then, as her parents went out on vacation, the trio began a day like the Garden of Eden, and Matthew gradually discovered that Isabella and Leo had a romantic relationship. The relationship between the three began to change subtly, and the student movement in full swing outside seemed to have nothing to do with them.
