Lasser plays a grumpy warden who leads a state prison that ranks first in the country in terms of the number of inmate riots, medical expenses and prison guard transfers. More crucially, he believes that the prisoners and the governor (played by Roberts) do not give him the respect he deserves. He tried a lot of punishment, but still couldn't get the prisoners to behave, and the governor gave him an ultimatum: either take care of the prisoners or close the prison. On the advice of his right-hand man Dwight (Lawrence), he came up with a "creative" idea that could manage prisoners and save millions of dollars, which came from the human centipede movie.
