The story begins in Poland in 1977, when 18-year-old Thomas (Andre Sevelin Andrzej Seweryn) follows his mother Sophia and father Keeslaw from their familiar hometown to the capital Warsaw, where the family decides to start a new life. However, it was obvious that Thomas did not like his days in Warsaw, and his extremely sensitive and self-abased character plunged him into deep depression. Keeslaw is on the rise in his career at the moment. As an artist, he wants to make a name for himself in Warsaw's art circle. Naturally, he has no time to consider his son's changes, and there is nothing his mother can do about it. To make matters worse, Thomas became curious about death. After an attempted suicide, the family finally began to pay attention to Thomas's abnormality, and Sophia and Keeslaw decided to save the shaky family.
