After Nick Bay (Derek Bond)'s father dies, he asks Uncle Ralph (Cedric Hardwicke) to help. In order to "help" him, Ralph asked him to work as a teaching assistant at a boarding school in Scholes (Alfred Drayton). Nick Bay is so disgusted with Scholes' way of education that he releases Smig (Aubrey Woods), who has been abused by Scholes for many years, and then leaves. Smith and Nick Bay go to London to live with Nogues (Bernard Miles). Then they went to Portsmouth as actors. When Nick Bay hears that Ralph abuses Nick Bay's sister (Sally Ann Howes), he returns to London to work for the Cherie Brothers. Then he saves Bai Lei (Jill Balcon), who is hurt by Ralph, and marries her.
