1930s, Moscow. At the beginning of his career, the famous writer suddenly found himself at the center of a literary scandal. Inspired by her love and support, the author begins writing a new novel in which the characters are from people around him and the protagonist is the mysterious Volander, who becomes the protagonist of a foreigner he recently met.
