While the wife is on vacation, husband Richard Salman (Tom Evell Tom Ewell) becomes acquainted with a third-floor neighbor and TV advertising star (Marilyn Monroe Marilyn Monroe) because of a flowerpot incident. The married man was fascinated by her doll-like beauty, and at a cocktail party, while she was playing the piano, he sat next to her and made an indecent behavior. Afterwards, Tom fell into deep chagrin and sought advice from a psychiatrist, who pointed out his illness and lured him to pay a high price for treatment. Tom ignored it, began his own psychoanalysis, and made a series of fantasies about the matter. He was worried that the gossip would reach his wife, which gradually turned to suspicion of the latter's affair. So, under the influence of sexual fantasies, Tom asked the girl to watch a movie and invited her to his home. The latter coveted his air conditioner because the electric fan at home was not cold, so he wanted to come here for the night, resulting in a lot of jokes.
