Biff (James Jakenet James Cagney) and Hugo (Jack Carson Jack Carson) used to be very close friends, but they fell in love with a sexy girl named Virginia (Rita Hayworth Rita Hayworth). In order to date Virginia, Hugo calls Biff, while Virginia brings her best friend Amy (Olivia de Havilland Olivia de Havilland). Biff spent almost all his savings in pursuit of Virginia, but eventually he learned that Virginia had eloped with Hugo. Biff collapsed, Amy stayed by his side to comfort and accompany him, over time, the two came together. By the time Hugo and Biff met again, he had become a company manager, but when Hugo's company was accused of embezzlement and bribery, Biff became a scapegoat.
