After directing several films in Berlin (such as "all evils are on the ground"), Stern Rey, a Dane, made his first major film, the College students in Prague, for the German film. The film, which cost 20, 000 marks, was shot in Bohemia by photographer Kidu Zipper based on a script written by novelist Hans Evers. Its main actors are Paul Wigner and Lydia Sharmonova. Paul Wigner was then one of the most famous actors under Max Reinhart.
