Young, rich and exposed to the Italian sun, this is what Tom Ripley (Matt Damon Matt Damon) longs for, but what Dickie Greenley (Jude Law Jude Law) already has. Ripley, a young man of ordinary origin and nothing to show off, was entrusted by a wealthy businessman to go to Italy to lobby his bohemian son Dickie to return to his hometown of the United States. But as soon as Ripley got there, he was deeply fascinated by Dickie's way of life: beautiful villas, flashy resorts, lavish living, and his beautiful and gentle girlfriend. Because Ripley coveted Dickie's life, the desire eventually expanded to replace Dickie. His meticulous mind was not only astonishing, but his sober modus operandi was even more unprepared.
