In the winter of 1982, a helicopter of the Norway scientific research team suddenly broke the calm on the Antarctic continent. The helicopter frantically chased a sled dog and finally crashed near the American scientific research camp. The American scientific expedition team heard about the recent sharp reduction in the number of personnel of the Norway expedition team, so pilot Mike (Kurt Russell) and the others rushed to the Norway camp. What they saw was strange bodies scattered all over the dilapidated place, and there was evidence that the Norway people had obtained some kind of frozen creature. Doctor Blair (Wilford Brimley) studied the mutation of the corpse but was unable to crack the cause. That night, the dog in the dog cage was attacked and mutated. An unknown creature was threatening the lives of the expedition team members on this lonely Antarctic continent... This film is a remake of The Thing From Another World directed by Howard Hawks in 1951.
