One of the masterpieces directed and performed by French New Wave star Francis Truffant is based on a true story in France in the 18th century. A child grew up in the jungle and was brought back to civilization. The doctor played by Francis Truffant patiently teaches the wild boy to adapt to the new life bit by bit, and lets him learn to be obedient and speak, and finally achieves the communication between the two. This film uses the most basic film skills to tell the story, focusing entirely on the interaction between doctors and wild children, which seems a bit dull, but reveals a strong cultural color, especially for audiences interested in anthropology.
