There was a frightened little girl wandering around the desert with only one word: monster! Any 1950s horror movie fan will immediately tell you that the "monster" she refers to is a by-product of the local nuclear test explosion. These giant ants are very organized, carnivorous and huge, about 8 to 20 feet long, and they cluster in the sewer system of Los Angeles, like a giant ant garden, ready to take over the world. The human elite to fight these monsters are New Mexico Police Agent James Whitmore, FBI representative James Anis, and a pair of father-daughter entomologists played by Edmund Guan and Joanne Wilden.
