The story takes place in a dark and sparsely populated theater, and the screenwriter Thomas (Matthew Amalik Mathieu Amalric) is looking for the right heroine for his screenplay Venus in Fur. Thomas was disappointed by several actors interviewed one after another, and they were very different from the perfect goddess image in his mind. The interview ended in vain, and just as Thomas was about to leave, a bedraggled girl broke into the theatre. The girl's name is Wanda (Emmanuel Senier Emmanuelle Seigner). Coincidentally, she has the same name as the heroine in Thomas's play, but Wanda's rude manner and shallow knowledge make Thomas secretly deny her in his heart. To Thomas's surprise, Wanda not only had all the scripts, but also brought his own costumes. at Wanda's insistence, Thomas agreed to her request for an audition and played against her in person. In this way, in the pouring rain, a good play about men and women, orders and obedience began.
