The protagonist of the story is a communist who has long been in exile in the Soviet Union. After the fall of the Greek junta, he was finally able to return to his hometown in the twilight years of his life. When he returned to the familiar places in his memory and faced his family and friends with such a contradictory and ambiguous identity, he felt the alienation of human feelings, the blindness to the future, and the low recognition and indifference to the motherland. People try to unload the load of memory, but they are afraid of being too light to lose their way. Under such circumstances, he realized that he had really lost his nationality. Finally, he floated on the floating shore of the Aegean Sea with his lover who had been away for many years.
