A high-end hotel on the seaside welcomes the well-known writer Kenji Shimizu (Xijun Nishima) and his wife (Sayuri Yamada). Shimizu is famous in the literary world with his first work, but the response of the second work is mediocre, and now it is even more stuck in the creative bottleneck. At the same time, he and his wife are estranged from each other. During this period, he happened to notice a somewhat eye-catching and strange man and woman. The unsurprising middle-aged man Sakahara (Takeshi Kitano) is accompanied by a pure and beautiful young girl, Miki (Kunashiri). How ambiguous and erotic he is, one can't help but fantasize. Out of curiosity, Shimizu tried to get close to each other, and he found that Sagahara had been photographing Miki after falling asleep for many years, and the picture was full of appreciation and infatuation. Shimizu is trapped in each other's secret. The film is based on the famous Spanish writer Javier Marias's short story "While the Woman Are Sleeping" of the same name.
