Young Heart, rebellious Heart is the second and first feature film of British black director Isaac Julian, which won him the best film award of the International Film critics week at the Cannes Film Festival. The story takes place in London, England, during the Youth Culture Movement in the late 1970s. The protagonist is two black DJ of an illegal punk radio station, one of whom is gay, and the other is suspected of being a murderer after a murder in a nearby gay park.
