Bernard Chandler is a young man who is overprotected by his parents. He didn't know what it means to be attracted to a girl until he was twenty years old. Bernard was completely caught in the trap of Barbara and was repeatedly played by her. In the end, Bernard defiantly stole his father's favorite Gutenberg Bible in front of his parents.
