[will Smith leads the stars to "start the course," an in-depth discussion of the U.S. Constitution, Netflix's new documentary "Amendment: fighting for America." the six-episode film, co-produced by will Smith and Larry Wilmore, is hosted by Smith. From the perspective of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, it explores the growing, often fatal, struggle for equal rights in the United States. In these six episodes, the Amendment will explore a number of themes to help viewers better understand the meaning of the Fourteenth Amendment, including what it means to be an American, the concept of citizenship and the struggle for equality. The film uses a groundbreaking narrative form, with Mahsala Ali, Diane Lynn, Samuel Jackson, Pedro Pascal, Yala Shahidi and others performing speeches and works by supporters and opponents of the amendment, such as Frederick Douglas, Martin Luther King and so on. It also includes a wide range of insights from contemporary thought leaders and experts. The film will be released on Netflix on February 17th.
