"Black Narcissus" is a three-episode mini-series, with Amanda Coe writing the script and Tom Winchester acting as executive producer. Based on Rumer Godden's classic novel, the theme is still "sexual repression", "taboo love" and "religious belief", and mixed with "supernatural phenomena". In faraway Nepal, Sister Clodagh and her women's monastery are trying to live more harmoniously with the locals, but Sister Clodagh's long-repressed sexual desire is awakened in the process. She is fascinated by the real estate developer Mr. Dean, but the more passionate their relationship is, the more tragic it is-because Sister Clodagh's forbidden love seems to reflect the love tragedy of the ancient Nepalese Princess Srimati.
