In 1917, World War I. The foolish General Mei Chi (Stephen Frey Stephen Fry) leads the British army to fight at the front. Yet everyone is hoping that this pointless war will come to an end soon. In the small camp, all kinds of personnel are in it. The incompetent General Meiqi has a trendy "right-hand man" baby Captain (Tim McNerney Tim McInnerny) who knows nothing but flattery every day. The warm-blooded Lieutenant George (Hugh Laurie Hugh Laurie) seems too idealistic and always fantasizes about sweeping Germany. For the simple-minded Private Baldrick (Tony Robinson Tony Robinson), this war is tantamount to a terrible nightmare. The self-centered Captain Blackadder (Rowan Atkinson Rowan Atkinson) looks arrogant, cold and bitter, often sarcastic about the people around him. Without exception, he is also doing his best to get rid of this endless war.
