Sports reporter Raymond (Ray Romano Ray Romano) virtuous full-time mother Deborah (Patricia Heaton Patricia Heaton) runs a family of five. Raymond is busy at work and there are occasional disputes between husband and wife, but these are not a problem. Because the biggest trouble is Raymond's parents and brother, who live across the street. Mom Mary (Doris Roberts Doris Roberts) always likes to control Raymond's life; Dad Frank (Peter Boyer Peter Boyle) has all sorts of unbearable bad habits. Police brother Rob (Brad Garrett Brad Garrett) always talks to himself about getting food from Raymond's house. These emergencies often give Raymond and Deborah a headache, but they can do nothing about it.
