CBC of Canada has announced a reservation for 11 episodes of the new drama "Frankie Drake". Set in the 1920s (during the infamous Chinese immigration ban and anti-communist era in Canadian history), Lauren Lee Smith plays the only female private investigator in Toronto who specializes in cases that the police do not want to handle and cannot handle. She knows how to use her "female capital", but she does not always act within the scope of the law. With the help of partner Trudy, Detective Frankie and Drake is capable of meeting any challenge. Frankie is a fearless, very avant-garde woman, adventurous, which makes her easy to get into trouble, but she always gets lucky. Carol Hay and Michelle Ricci ("Murdoch Mysteries"), the national treasure producers of Canadian television, are responsible for developing the show.
