Rachel (Anna Chansler Anna Chancellor) is a rich and kind woman who has adopted five children. One day, she was found murdered in her home. The police found the fingerprints of one of her adopted sons, Jack (Anthony Bowie Anthony Boyle), at the crime scene. Jack was regarded as the biggest suspect and was arrested. However, just as the trial was about to begin, Jack died in prison in an accident. The case concluded that Jack was the murderer. Eighteen months later, when Rachel's husband Lyon (Bill Nye Bill Nighy) is about to get married with his fiancee, a man named Arthur (Luke Treadwell Luke Treadaway) appears in front of them and brings the breaking news that Rachel was not killed by Jack, but by someone else.
