The multi-scene comedy Outmatched, written by Lon Zimmet, is about a blue-collar couple living in southern New Jersey who have four children, and they find that three of them are determined to have an IQ of genius. Psych actress Maggie Lawson plays her mother Cay, from New Jersey, who is good at judging whether the other person is talking nonsense, a skill that is highly valued by her Atlantic City casino owner. Jason Biggs, who plays his father Mike, is affable, warm-hearted, not stupid but irrational. Tisha Campbell-Martin plays casino owner Rita, a friend of Cay who has three children. Connor Kalopsis plays Brian, Ashley Boettcher plays Nicole, Jack Stanton plays Marc and Oakley Bull plays Leila.
