The story takes place in the 1930s, when Louis (Kelly Keeley Hawes)'s husband dies unexpectedly, leaving behind four children, Grant (Milo Parker Milo Parker), Lawrence (Josh O'Connor Josh O'Connor), Leslie (Karen Woodhouse Callum Woodhouse), Margo (Daisy Waterstone Daisy Waterstone), and an inheritance. Now that the legacy has been spent, the children are growing up, and the problem has become increasingly prominent, making Louis feel powerless. Under great pressure, Louis decided to lead his family to settle on the Greek island of Corfu, where the cost of living was low, hoping to start a new life there. However, her decision was obviously not welcomed and approved by the children, not to mention that there was no electricity on the island of Hokofu. Louis's decision to repair the family relationship turned out to be full of gunpowder between the brothers and sisters.
