Colin Farrell will star in the BBC mini-series "the Northern Seas," directed by Andrew Hagrid ("45th Anniversary", "Race Pete" and "weekend time"), a total of four episodes, three episodes one hour + one episode 90 minutes, and shooting starts in the fall. Based on the award-winning novel of the same name by Ian McGuire, it focuses on a catastrophic whaling campaign in the 19th century. The story revolves around Patrick Sumner, a notorious former war doctor who later became a doctor on a whaling ship where he met harpoon Henry Drax (Farrell), a cruel and immoral killer. Instead of escaping from the fears of the past, Sumner was forced to fight a brutal struggle for survival in the Arctic wilderness.
