The play is loosely adapted from the documentary literature of the same name that the American journalist Jake Adelstein recorded the first-hand information of the events in the jurisdiction of the Tokyo Police Department. The story takes place in the late 1990s, when Jake Adelstein (Ansel Elgort) enters the dark world under the neon lights of Tokyo every day, where everything is not what it seems. And Hiroto Katagiri (Ken Watanabe), a detective in Tokyo's anti-triad squad, has a father's role model for Jake, who helps Jake move forward on the delicate and often unstable line between the police and the world of organized crime.
