The new HBO drama series, set in New York in the 1970s, was created by director Martin Scorsese, Rolling Stones lead singer Mick Jagger and renowned screenwriter and producer Terrence Winter. Through the eyes of Ricky Van Stella, president of the record company played by Bobby Conneville, the film sees the music industry full of sex and drugs in the process of saving the company and his soul while trying not to destroy anyone.
