Hulu will launch a new drama "Immigrant" that focuses on the history and scandals of "the world's number one stripper" Chippendales, starring and acting as executive producer Kumel Nanjani ("Silicon Valley" and "Eternity") and screenwriter Robert Siegel ("the Big Entrepreneur"), who has been directly booked for eight episodes of the season. The show is portrayed as a crazy, dark comedy crime story, with Nanjani as Somen "Steve" Banerjee, an Indian-American businessman who founded the famous male striptease show Chippendales. In the 1980s, Chippendales became a popular and materialistic cultural phenomenon in New York, followed by the murder of show producers, dancers and choreographers, and eventually Banerjee confessed to arson, fraud and being hired.
