The once ordinary bank clerk Gao Jian Wu Qing (Matsuda Ryuhei) suffers from a rare occupational disease. He is extremely allergic to money. Once he sees or touches it, he will feel dizzy, nausea and even shock. In order to live a life of zero yen, he resigned and went to Shangluche village, a small mountain village in the northeast, which is as old as 40%, to prepare for self-reliance and adequate food and clothing. Some overzealous village head Amano and Saburo (Abelong Shi) cannot sit idly by this young man who does not have any common sense of life and survival skills. He and his wife Ahizi (Matsuko) intervene in Ah Wu's life and let him clumsily settle down in the village. The old man (Toshihiro Nishida), who is worshipped as a god, takes a camera every day to record the rush of Wu and the villagers. With the re-election of the village head imminent, Shangluche Village is in danger of being merged into other administrative regions. At the same time, some mysterious person (Matsuzuki) arrives to uncover a little-known sad past with Saburo. This film is based on the original work of cartoonist Igarashi Fumihiko Sanhev.
