On a frenzied and slightly sad night, a couple lost their lovely young son Nick. This incident dealt a great blow to them and brought the already contradictory marriage to the brink of collapse. Wife (Charlotte Gansbu Charlotte Gainsbourg) can not extricate herself from grief for a long time, as the husband of a psychological counselor (William Dafu Willem Dafoe) hopes to heal the broken marriage on the one hand, and tries to make his wife forget the past through psychological counseling on the other.
