The story begins with a UFO cover-up. One of the three astronauts was killed after the shuttle collided with an unidentified object, and the other two were the only witnesses. After returning to Earth, the two men began to investigate the truth that the government was trying to cover up about the aliens and the UFO incident. Hangar 18, although it did not win at the box office (only $6 million), made the film famous for its ingenious story idea and reasonable connection with famous UFO events such as Roswell. Hangar 18 (located in area 51) has now become a proper term for describing alien flying saucers.
