Roger (Cary Grant) is an ordinary advertising businessman, but recently he has inexplicably gotten into trouble-he was mistakenly identified as a man named "Keplin" and was also drunk and put into a car with the intention of causing a car crash and death. The lucky Roger escaped successfully. This bizarre experience left Roger scared and curious. In order to prove his innocence, he had to find the real "Kaplin". Bad luck is haunting Roger. He managed to escape the pursuit all the way, while pursuing Kaplin's clues thousands of miles away. He jumps on a train bound for Chicago, and runs into Joan Candor (Eva Marie Saint) and is willing to help him. Seeing that he was about to meet Keplin, things stirred again-not only did he not see Keplin, but he also fell into another crisis. The truth is becoming more and more confusing, and the statue of the president on Mount Rushmore has become a big stage for a life-and-death struggle.
