Kirill Selebrennikov ([midsummer]) will write and direct a new film [Petrov's Influenza] (Petrov's Flu). Adapted from Alexei Sarnikov's award-winning novel, this film tells the story of a family of small potatoes plagued by flu in the post-Soviet era who spent ordinary days in secret. My husband is a plumber who turns his boring time into strange Japanese comic strip scenes. His wife is a librarian and her hobby is to kill abusive men with a kitchen knife.
