The second World War is coming to an end, and Japan, unwilling to lose, keeps sending soldiers to the battlefield to make the final senseless resistance. Matsuyama Keita (Toyokawa Yuesi) and Morikawa Takeshi (Liuping Zhizheng) and other 100 men were drafted into the army and ordered to leave for the fierce war situation in the Philippines by drawing lots. Before leaving, he entrusted a postcard sent by his wife to Qitai, who stayed at home, hoping that he would send the postcard home one day. At the end of the war, as one of six of the 100 survivors, Kai Tai returned to her hometown, only to find that her wife had eloped with her father. One day he turned out the custom-made postcard, so he set off to visit his wife, Yuzi (Dazhuren), who had long been tortured by life. This film is adapted by Shindo based on his own experience, and won the first place in the Top Ten Film of 2011.
