Seventeen-year-old Aster (played by Liu Yaren) should have spent the most carefree years. But in reality, Aster's life has only darkness but no light. My father is a small disabled man, and my mother is a Filipino laborer who didn't meet until she was seventeen. He has to live on relief supplies. With this kind of Wonder, there are no friends and no love around him, so he has to rely on his own fist to solve everything. The only one around him who doesn't follow common sense is his head teacher and neighbor Dong-soo (Kim Yun-shik), the Tang monk. At first, the annoying Aster had to regard him as his number one enemy. But as some things unfolded, he gradually felt the love of his Dong-soo, began to see the world in a different way, looked at the relatives around him, and picked up hope and motivation in the dark, and his dreams were no longer so out of reach.
