Harry (Jared Leto) and Marianne (Jennifer Connelly) love each other, dream of opening a clothing store, and dream of a better tomorrow. However, they are all inseparable from drugs and want to make their first pot of gold by selling drugs. Harry's mother is a complete TV fan.
