The story takes place in England in the 1930s. Maria (Valentine Gertes Valentina Cortese) and Nora (Audrey Hepburn Audrey Hepburn) are very close sisters. In order to escape political persecution, the two sisters travel all the way to England to join their father's good friends. It wasn't long before the news came that their father had been killed in his hometown. Although grief-stricken, life goes on. Maria and Nora have become British nationals and want to live a stable life here, seven years have passed in a flash. I thought the clouds had dissipated, but I didn't seem to want to let these two poor girls go. By chance, Maria was reunited with her ex-boyfriend, who told her that the man who killed her father was going to London for an event. Persuaded by her ex-boyfriend, Maria decided to join their assassination to avenge her father.
