Ichiro Chiang (Mifune Toshiro) is a young painter. One day, on his way to sketching, Ichiro accidentally met a famous singer named Miyazi (Li Xianglan). Ichiro did Meiyazi a favor and they shared a motorcycle and traveled together. To their surprise, the scene was filmed by a gossip reporter and made a fuss about it. The content was vulgar and obscene, and it was completely groundless. The false news reports tarnished the reputation of Ichiro and Miyoko, and the angry two decided to take the tabloid reporter to court. Later, an unknown little lawyer found Ichiro and claimed that he was willing to defend them for free. The lawyer's daughter suffers from tuberculosis and is in urgent need of money to treat the disease. In desperation, the lawyer accepts bribes from the defense and fights back in court. Ichiro and Miyako are instantly at a disadvantage.
