Directed by Christian Schwarhoff, it is adapted from Siegfried Lentz's novel Deutschstunde of the same name. This World War II reflective novel is a milestone masterpiece in the history of German literature and is of great significance. Although the two-hour film can not present the original content perfectly, it also strips out a main line, which well depicts the distortion of people's family and friendship in the context of that era.
