This film tells the director's own childhood story. A 9-year-old Parisian boy was entrusted to a friend's house in the country in the summer because his mother was out to give birth. Although the couple dotes on him, they each have their own eccentricities and keep nagging about their child who died a few years ago. A girl with a masculine character made him escape from the strange circle, and he helped the couple overcome the loss of their son.
