When the girl Veronica (Richardson) found out she was pregnant, she had to hit the road with her car-owning "ex" friend Bailey (Ferreira) to seek a legal abortion: Veronica's boyfriend was a loser and she didn't want to be a mother so young, otherwise it would affect her Ivy League dream. Her Missouri state stipulates that minors must have their parents' consent to have an abortion, which her parents do not agree with. Veronica decided to travel 900miles to New Mexico and go home after having an abortion. Veronica is a good student who is addicted to ins, excellent grades and ambition, while Bailey is a lonely, venomous queer with zero patience with Veronica's new friends. When such two people hit the road together with such a goal, they make mistakes on the way, which is both emotional and humorous.
