In a small coastal town, Juliet (Brigitte Bardot Brigitte Bardot), a girl adopted by an old couple, is criticized by residents for her good looks and disorderly style, but Juliet seems to be completely worried and still comes into contact with Carradine, a wealthy businessman old enough to be her father. Carradine adores Juliet and restricts her behavior at the same time. Juliet made friends with Anthony, the eldest of the three brothers in Tadiu, and when she found out who she really was, she chose to give up. The guardian no longer tolerated Juliet's wanton style and informed the orphanage to bring Juliet back. In order to keep Juliet in town, Anthony's brother Michelle (Jean-Louis Trintignant) proposes to her, but this unpopular marriage brings them a lazy and peaceful happy time. Soon Anthony returned to town to run the shipyard, and the atmosphere of the Tadiu family became subtle. With Juliet's accident at sea, the brothers and Carradine were involved in a storm.
