Jim Parker (Anthony La Paglia Anthony LaPaglia) met a homeless man who asked him for money for coffee (Jeffrey Rush Geoffrey Rush) in the street. He didn't pay, but the homeless man shot himself in front of him. Jim's youngest son, 28-year-old David Parker (voiced by Samuel Johnson Samuel Johnson), couldn't find a job, and even telemarketing called him "inexperienced." Jim persuaded David to join the debt collection company of his brother Lenny (voiced by Ben Mendelsohn), but David was only interested in philosophical questions such as finding the meaning of life, but his father was disappointed. In addition to the Parker family, there are drug addicts who broke up with their fiancee, lonely elderly widowers, bankrupt magicians, new supermodels and football-loving children living in the same Sydney apartment building. In the daily life of all kinds of people, what on earth is the meaning of life and how can we find happiness? This film was nominated for the Bronze Horse Award at the Stockholm Film Festival.
