In 1995, a five-man Navy Seal team led by Lieutenant Matt Barnes (Sullivan Stapleton) went to Sarajevo for a joint Anglo-American operation to kidnap the leader of a local warlord. After the mission was successfully completed, Stanton Beck (Charlie Bewley), one of the team members, learned by chance from his girlfriend Laura (Sylvia Hoeks) that 27 tons of Nazi gold were deposited at the bottom of a local lake. Laura hopes to get the gold and use half of it to save her country and the other half as reward for her team. Matt readily accepted the offer, but just as they were about to take action, the angry deputy of the warlord leader Petrovich (Clemens Schick) is also mulling his own revenge plan...
