Philip (Cade Maillard Kad Merad) has worked in a post office in Provence in the south of France for more than a decade, but his constant life and unhappy wife Julie (Zoe F é lix) depress him. In order to please his wife, Philip, disguised as a disabled person, applied for a promotion to the Gold Coast in the south, only to be transferred to the far northern town of Bergues as director. In the eyes of southerners, the climate is cold, the people are vulgar, and they speak with an incomprehensible Ch'ti accent, which is a place comparable to hell. Discouraged, Philip bid farewell to his family and nervously went to office alone. However, unexpectedly, he found that his new subordinates and local residents were very hospitable, and he quickly made friends with the postman Anthony (Danny Bourne Dany Boon). Philip gradually fell in love with this simple town, but when he tried to persuade Julie to live in the north, he was questioned by his wife. This film has been nominated for the 2008 European Film Award and the French Caesar Award in 2009.
